Sunday, June 3
Start by learning a little bit about the history of Westport, where our host hotel, the Hampton Inn is located.
Monday, June 4
Today we’ll go to the Plimoth Plantation and tour downtown Plymouth.
Tuesday, June 5
After sightseeing along the Westport River, we’ll go to Adamsville, Rhode Island for coffee break and tour of Gray’s Grist Mill. We’ll continue our tour through Little Compton, RI and arrive in Bristol, RI at Blithewold Mansion for lunch and an afternoon tour.
At the Old Commons Burial Ground you’ll find historical information organized by the Little Compton Historical Society.
Wedneday, June 4
We will visit the town of Sandwich on Cape Cod. We’ll make two stops, the Cape Cod Canal Visitors Center and Heritage Museums and Gardens.
Thursday, June 7
Today we’ll tour Olde Dartmouth, which is comprised of present day Dartmouth, Westport, New Bedford, Fairhaven, and Acushnet, plus parts of Little Compton and Tiverton, RI.
Our stops include: Padanaram Village in Dartmouth, the Fairhaven Town Center and the buildings of H. H. Rogers and the Fort Taber/Fort Rodman Military Museum
Friday, June 8
The optional bus tour goes to the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline (former headquarters for the VMCCA), and the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston.
