WEEKLY UPDATE SUMTER SWAP MEETS April 24, 2020
Well, here we are again. I doubt anyone thought the world and its inhabitants would ever see something like this, that would influence their lives and have such an impact on all of us. I am confident that there is some light coming from the end of the tunnel. So much for what we don't have control over, but one thing, you can be sure of is that we are all here waiting for the green light.
As you know, the First Sunday Swap Meet for April and May were suspended but the June 7th is still planned to take place as usual.
We have sent a letter to Governor Ron Desantis asking that our style event not be treated like much larger spectator events where people stand or sit shoulder to shoulder. Further, we are developing a procedure for upon reopening for all to follow, employees, vendors and spectators to assure good social distancing and minimizing potential virus transmission. We will also be following government reopening guidelines so that we can turn that key switch and motor on out.
We at Sumter Swap Meets look forward to seeing all our great vendors and friends soon.
Any further questions we can help you with, feel free to call the office at 727-848-7171 or visit our website at floridaswapmeets.com for continued updates.
