Event Description

As you know, we lost our good friend and fellow car enthusiast Ken Whitaker last Sunday (4-29-2018).  His family has requested that we celebrate his life in the way Ken would have wanted--a casual and laid back memorial service.

We are having a Memorial Cruise-In from 3 to 5 PM this Sunday, 5-6-2018,  at the Main Street Restaurant, 1142 Athens Highway (Route 78), Grayson, GA   30017.   We will be outside on their patio on the west side of the restaurant.
So bring your favorite ride, bring a chair, wear your club or favorite car shirt , bring any pictures new or old that you may have of Ken and most important--- bring all your fond memories of Ken that you'd like to share.
We will have some eats, cokes, ice tea and water (feel free to bring a beverage of your choice).  The Whitaker family is looking forward to seeing everyone who knew Ken and called him their friend.  We hope to see you all there ----

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
