"Go ahead and fix it I don't care what it cost."

It was May and took my car to a paint shop." As long as I get it before Christmas." Specify the year!

Get every quote in writing before hand and if it's a diagnosis, pre approve 1.0 hour of diagnostic and a phone call before any work performed.

Body shops?....get everything in writing....everything.

An honest body shop will sometime lose money on a quote just to make the customer happy.

I had a buddy get his 71 'cuda prepped, painted, cleared, wet sanded and buffed for $4500.00.

It was a $10-k paint job quality but the shop owner ran into some unexpected repairs that needed addressed but did not deviate from the original quote....now that will get referrals.

I am a mobile mechanic and deal with a wide spectrum of people from welfare Mom's to pro ball players.

I have see many dishonest customers that want to service their vehicle but neglect to tell you of the check engine light, oil leaks, and parts falling off before you get there, then when you arrive and discover all the problems you better not touch that piece of junk because most likely they are going to blame you for all of it.

Been there, done that.

I have so many I will be writing a book.
Remind me to tell you my experience with flashback motorworks some day.....unbelieveable!
FlashBack was actually patterned after my shop in California. Unfortunately it was destined to failure as they did not follow the business model.
That is very unfortunate because they could have done very well if they treated people right.

A Bite of History - Marcos  By Mike Thies

A Bite of History - Marcos

By Mike Thies

The Marcos was one of those wonderfully unconventional British sports car companies that could only have come from the postwar racing world. The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…
