The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts. Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!
Hey Brian, did you make it to the Arbor Hill show last Saturday? We got there a little after noon so didn't register for a trophy; we stayed for a hot dog and a coke, took a bunch of pictures; then took the long way home. Sorry we missed you - would have loved to tag-up.
Got all the front-end stuff for my '50 Merc and got the wheel cylinders for the '51 truck too. Thanks for the info on those, that might come in handy the next time around. Sure wish I could go over to the local Kroger and buy a sixer of "gumption" so I could get these parts installed! Been having a serious case of the 'ho-hums' of late - probably because summer is over. sigh

Hi Scott,
Welcome!! There's lots of great people here that enjoy giving to worthy causes, I'm sure you will fit right in! I love your old Chevy and T-Bird, too!
Nice rides, Richard! Love that Chevy! ..and the Modern 'Bird looks like it could be a kick too. Hope we can connect sometime soon. Currently my '50 Merc is waiting on new front-end parts (I have most of 'em but still waiting on a few more); my '51 Chevy truck is sitting on stands waiting for me to get up off my duff and replace the rear wheel cylinders, and my '52 Belair is still up in Cleveland being worked on as time permits, and maybe by the 2011 cruising season it will be home again.

Welcome Scott!!
Welcome over to our website! Thank you for the photos. I am looking forward to some more great photos (and maybe videos) of your T-Bird and '40 Chevy, as well as some of the various other vehicles you favor, and events you enjoy, too. Also, it is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that we have overlooked! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
Please invite your family and friends as this helps the site grow and improves your social network communications. If I can help at all with any of your projects, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies
