Quilt Trails Road Rally

Come spend the day in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, driving the secret backroads where the REAL scenery is. The Quilt Trails Road Rally will take you places you would never go otherwise and you will be glad when you see how spectacular the scenery is. Hi Barbara!
I am wondering if you would look around North Carolina for car and motorcycle shows, cruise-ins, club meetings, races, rallies, etc. and post them on our site. As you know, anybody is allowed to post, and with us all working together, we can make sure we are complete as possible. Thanks and if I can help you'all in any way, please call me 770-883-0160 or a message through the site messages. Thanks so much,
Mike

Welcome Barbara!!
Welcome over to our website! First, I want to thank you for posting your show. We are pleased to help bring a broader awareness about your event. Please get as many friends and participants as possible to RSVP on your event page (it now has its own URL) as this helps us in increasing rankings on Facebook and major search engines for it. Also, please announce our site at the event itself and have your happy participants post photos and stories, this helps promote your next event, as well.
I am looking forward to some great photos (and maybe videos) of the Rally and of the various vehicles you favor, and events you enjoy, too. We want as many photos as we can get. We can upload 100 at a time! (You may have heard that we are collecting One Million photos of cars, bikes & trucks! Please announce this at your car show as we want to get the word out!) It is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
As you can see, one of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that we have overlooked! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
Please invite your family and friends as this helps the to get the word our and improves your social network communications. If I can help at all with any of your projects, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies

A Bite of History - Marcos  By Mike Thies

A Bite of History - Marcos

By Mike Thies

The Marcos was one of those wonderfully unconventional British sports car companies that could only have come from the postwar racing world. The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…

A Judge’s View from Pinehurst: Sandhills Motoring Expo 2026 by Mike Thies

The 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo Concours in the Village was one of those days that reminds you why we do this. Held Sunday, May 24, in the historic Village of Pinehurst, the event brought together more than 130 judged automobiles representing over 40 manufacturers, and from this judge’s point of view, it was a first-class field, a well-run operation, and a genuinely enjoyable day with owners who were proud to…
