Brian, we must be sort of kin, as I won a 88 10th Anniv RX7 Turbo in a sales contest, later sold for a Supra, which was sold for the Shelby! Genesis of funds for Shelby began with RX7!
Just looked at weather and humidity is at 81%, "real feel" temp in high 90's, radiated heat from black asphalt in parking lot is making me pass on the show! Was looking forward to it, too!
Yeah, I have a 2005 Mazda RX-8...but am a prior owner of a 2000 Mustang...I miss my baby a lot...lol. Had 383hp in a V6...thank GOD for Super Six Motorsports...
Brian, a belated welcome to Ga. Your club is comprised of Army vets from Ft Campbell? Many shows are open to newer vehicles, as most in my FOPCOA members have newer Mustangs, Shelby's, Saleen's, Lightnings, including myself with Shelby GT500 08 vert and Lightning! Plan is hopefully to go tomorrow: but heat index is supposed to be 98 degrees, making it even hotter on that black asphalt!
Brian, guessing your club is a number of various brands: but you'll find lots of welcoming people down here!
This will be my first time showing in this area. I moved here two years ago and it's nice to see some shows that are open to everything. I see a lot of classic car shows around and it's hard to compete when you have a newer car. I'm the Georgia Chapter President of a Show Club from Ft. Campbell, KY and am looking for some connections in the area as well.
The Car show will be judges by am I.S.C.A. judge. So come to a real car show
not a show there the host friends wins all the time

The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…

A Judge’s View from Pinehurst: Sandhills Motoring Expo 2026 by Mike Thies
The 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo Concours in the Village was one of those days that reminds you why we do this. Held Sunday, May 24, in the historic Village of Pinehurst, the event brought together more than 130 judged automobiles representing over 40 manufacturers, and from this judge’s point of view, it was a first-class field, a well-run operation, and a genuinely enjoyable day with owners who were proud to…
